Sports Day - 5th July 2007

What wonderful weather we enjoyed for the school sports day on Thursday 5th July.  After weeks of rain the field was in excellent condition.  After 6 barren years Edinburgh scored a hard-fought victory largely as a result of some very high scoring by their Boys' Team. 

The Edinburgh Girls' Squad were in a close three-way finish with Cornwall and Kent.  The Mixed Squad from Edinburgh were held narrowly by both Kent and Cornwall.  This all lead to an exciting final round of events, Edinburgh narrowly holding on to a diminishing lead.

Thank you Mrs Kaye for working so hard to produce another very well organised and well-timed event.  And thank you to all those parents who attended and made the day special for their children. 

French Trip April 2007

This year saw the first ever St Christopher’s School trip to France.

A party comprising of both Year 5 and Year 6 pupils left for a midweek stay at Le Chateau de Broutel near Le Touquet on the  morning of the 23^rd April at 9.00am.  The party are unanimous in their opinion that the trip was a great success – Nausicaa, abseiling, shopping in Rue, zip-wiring and climbing were but five of a number of entertaining and educational activities.

Everyone returned safe and sound thanks to the careful guidance of Mr Atkins, Mrs Lemon and Ms Clarke.
